Coorong Marine National Park - Salt Lake

We stopped for lunch at the Coorong Marine National Park on our way to Victor Harbour. To our excitement, we found our first salt lake.

Dad, Jacob and I standing on the edge of the lake where it was dry and hard, crusted with salt. It was too soft with clay to go any further in.

It was really beautiful seeing the whole lake sparkle in the sun.

I broke a piece of clean rock crystals off to taste. It tastes like salt!

Jacob picked up a huge cluster of salt.

We kept this piece as a specimen.
