SA Whale Centre - Victor Harbour

Victor Harbour was great. A huge play park on the beach, another wonderful whale centre and a horse drawn tram.


These bones are from a Southern Right Whale. You can see the photo of scientists working on the beach where it was found.



Jacob loves bones just as much as I do.


The touch table was a good one with a few different things I hadn’t seen before.


This is a traditional dwelling of the Ngarrindjeri people. Whales that were stranded and died on the beach were used for many purposes. The long rib bones were used to construct dwellings as shown in the photo above.
