Monkey Mia

We are camping at Monkey Mia, right next to the beach. Here, I fed the Dolphins in the morning and enjoyed watching them swim at dusk.

This is me holding a Dugong skull found in the Shark Bay area; all the specimens were. It’s a small discovery centre at Monkey Mia.

Jacob is excited about the Dolphin spine. We are having a quick look while we wait for the Dolphins to come in this morning.

This lovely specimen is a Pelican skull. We have sand dunes at the back of our van. I found a few fish bones there on a walk. A Pelican might have dropped it there.

The Dolphins came in seconds after we looked at the bones. A bell rings to let everyone know. This is a baby Dolphin.

This is the baby with it’s Mum. Dolphins are small toothed whales.

Jacob on Dads shoulders. He didn’t want to feed them, just watch.

This is me feeding a beautiful Dolphin. I was lucky to be chosen to feed them as only 3 people get the chance. It was a wonderful experience.
