Scitech Perth

On Mothers Day we went to Sci-Tech and the Planetarium. Mum loves going to the Planetariums.

This is Jacob doing an experiment. The challenge was to make the tiny little robot fly and land standing up.

This was a really great way to observe a working bee colony. There was a clear plastic tubing for the bees to come in and out.

We got to watch an egg hatch; so cute. Then we watched them get fluffy and walk for the first time.

Dad and Jacob taking on the domino challenge.

This 3D printer made the little yellow robots we used for the flying experiment. You could watch them being made here. The printer uses ABS plastic which is melted and laid down one layer at a time. It is also possible to print in different materials, from ceramics to chocolate. It is also used to make prosthetic limbs and aeroplane parts. How amazing!
